Monthly Summary: February 2024

Hello and welcome to another Monthly Summary here at gamergal.exe! February has been another productive month despite it being the shortest of the year (even if we do get an extra day this time)! There’s been plenty of super exciting things happen this month with the release of one of my most anticipated games, an online live by one of my favourite artists, and some other great games and manga picks to top it all off! Let’s get started!

It’s backlog appreciation time again! Kim over at Later Levels has once again dedicated the month of February to showing some love for our backlogs, something every gamer should really do every once in a while. Happy Valentine’s Day! ❤ What better day for an otome appreciation post than today? For the past few years, I’ve dedicated February 14th to an otome post here on the blog with my previous entries being answers to the prompts for Otome V-day week – a series of questions that were popular on Twitter a while back (see my posts for 2021, 2022 and 2023 here – contains mild spoilers). I wanted to do the same this year, but my answers haven’t really changed all that much over the past year (apart from finding a new best boy in Virche’s Lucas), so I opted for something different – appreciation of otome OP songs! I’ve been wanting to share my favourite opening songs for a while and never found the right opportunity, so I’m taking that chance now! Let’s go!
