Today, I am welcoming my new brand to the blog! This has been in the works for almost a year and I’ve decided that November is the time to showcase ‘The Visual Novel Hovel‘.Continue reading “Introducing: The Visual Novel Hovel”
After my slight gaming lull in August, I feel like I’ve redeemed myself during September. I somehow managed to completed 10 games, publish 8 blog posts and still have enough time to no-life Smite… all in all, it’s been a good month.
With September over, it also means it’s time to pull out the horror games and get into a spooky mood! I have a huge list of games to play with the run up to Hallowe’en and I’m itching to get started. But before I do, here’s what I got up to during September!Continue reading “Monthly Summary: September 2020”

This week, it seems like we’re all going back to school: Fandom Style! It’s been quite some time since I was at school and I’m definitely glad that all behind me, but it’s been pretty fun to imagine what school life might be like in a universe that’s quite different to the reality we live it. Thanks to Heather at Just Geeking By for these Seriously Geeky Sundays prompts!
August 31st marked Hatsune Miku‘s [初音ミク] 13th anniversary! As a fan of Vocaloid music (and genres stemmed from Vocaloid), I decided to put together a post containing 13 songs that come to mind when I think “Miku” and a short bio about each producer. I’ve written the English and Japanese titles for both the songs and the artists of each listing in case anyone will find this useful.
August seems to have flown by even faster than the rest of the year. What have I even done this month? Good question. I’ve still been in a bit of a gaming lull if I’m honest and I can count the amount of games I’ve played on one hand… That being said, I’ve got big plans for the next few months.
This is my first entry to the Seriously Geeky Sundays prompt created by Heather at Just Geeking By, with this week’s theme created and hosted by Megan at A Geeky Gal. I thought this animation theme would be a great introduction to join in with the SGS community and I hope to contribute more in the near future.
July has been quiet on the gaming front due to my lack of enthusiasm for gaming. I’ve been so excited to play Collar X Malice for months so I put off starting anything heavy until my copy arrived. Unfortunately, my copy ended up arriving a week late so I feel like I’ve wasted a lot of time just sitting in limbo. However, we’re back on track and there’s actually a lot of games I’m looking forward to playing after my recent dip.
During June, Steam featured a selection of free demos for upcoming games as part of The Steam Games Festival: Summer Edition which ran alongside the Steam Summer Sale. During this time, myself and WesleyWhale decided to try out a handful of games to write about, however, this handful quickly became two handfuls and before long, it turned into a list as long as my arm. In the end, we settled on a list of 12 games to try (all displayed in the header) consisting of a variety of styles and genres. After playing through each of the demos, we wrote all about our experiences in this post with a couple of screenshots to accompany our reviews. So, let’s get started!
