I was recently nominated by Megan, A Geeky Gal, to participate in another blogging tag – 5 Games That Have Had The Biggest Impact On My Life! In this post, I will talk about the games that have been the most significant in my life thus far. I wrote a post recently on the Twitter trend “Games To Get To Know Me” in which I picked up on this topic already, so this time around I’ll be talking more about how the game has impacted me personally rather than talking about the actual games themselves. You can take a look at my “Games To Get To Know Me” post here if you’d like to hear more about the games in question.
Following the new trending Twitter posts of 10 Games To Get To Know Me, I’ve noticed many people’s answers usually contain games that are similar genres or styles. After thinking long and hard about my answers, I realised that my gaming tastes are so widespread that my list could’ve been mistaken for being drawn straight out of a hat.
This list is going to be a little different to others I’ve come across as I’ve picked my favourite game from a different genre for each answer. Also, with this being a Skylar-Mei list, of course it’s going to feature 11 games! Since I appear to have missed the last [11:11] post, I’ll feature this as this final one in the series – sorry it’s late!
Aurora Awakening is the first stage towards crafting the Legendary Trinket, Aurora. For information on how to get started on Aurora, please see my Aurora Introduction post here which you will need to complete before unlocking this collection. I have also written collection guides on all the other Stage 1 sections: Bloodstone Fen Master, Ember Bay Master, Lake Doric Master, Draconis Mons Master and Bitterfrost Frontier Master.
On 4th December, Normal Happenings published my piece as part of “The Games That Define Us” Collaboration. This was an incredible project consisting of 34 writers coming together to share their experiences with a game they connected with. The variety of games chosen was pretty incredible with many different stories to be told.
You can check out the Adventure Map for “The Games That Define Us” which lists all the writers and their pieces, and you can also view my piece (as posted below) in it’s original form on Normal Happenings’ site – his web design for the entire project has been phenomenal!
A day early as promised, here is the final section to the 30 Day MMO Challenge: Guild Wars 2 Edition. I’ve enjoyed writing these posts far more than I imagined and answering these questions has got me back into playing as well as revising some old memories of the game.
I’d like to thank Ruubin Dolle for creating this challenge (originally for WoW) and allowing me to alter some of the questions to fit Guild Wars 2, my preferred MMO. If you’d like to participate in this challenge yourself for any MMO you wish, then please feel free!
Welcome to the penultimate section to the 30 Day MMO Challenge: Guild Wars 2 Edition! This challenge was originally created by Ruubin Dolle for WoW, but with her approval I have altered a few of the questions to fit my MMO of choice, Guild Wars 2. If you’d like to participate in this challenge yourself then please feel free, you can also tailor the questions to fit any MMO of your choice!
Section 4 of the 30 Day MMO Challenge: Guild Wars 2 Edition is here! I’ll be answering the next 5 questions created by Ruubin Dolle (originally created for WoW) about my chosen MMO, Guild Wars 2. If you’d like to take part in this challenge yourself about your preferred MMO then please feel free to join in!
